It's so so refreshing. Church, family, good eatin'. Today's service was great. We talked about how to deal with life, the good, bad and ugly; about how to deal when your life is out of control. It's easy, really, be anchored by Jesus Christ. Look to Him for your answers. Nobody said it wouldl be easy, not even our Lord.
We had a good lunch with the Russell's. Now we are at home and the boys are napping. Sundays are such a blessing. Family is what matters.

Lars and the Real Girl
So, Brad went to rent some movies tonight. He never, ever rents any that I like, or care to watch. So, after the kids go to bed on Saturday night, Brad usually watches some scary or action packed movie and I read or get online. Tonight he came home from Blockbuster with a movie called Lars and the Real Girl. I laughed so hard when I read the back. It is about a guy who has a plastic, life size doll as a girlfriend. I was like "this movie is going to be so stupid!" Let me just say, I have never been touched like this from a movie, not even Steel Magnolia's. Sure, it was funny in the beginning, but it gets deep. My eyes are swollen from crying so much. You have to rent this movie. And buy kleenex.
27
Yep, I am 27 years young. I have looked back and reflected on my 27 years and this is what I have learned....
- Don't sweat the small stuff.
- Pick your battles, whether it be with your spouse, your children, or the jerk on the cell phone that just cut you off.
- Pay your tickets. This one can get ugly. Trust me, just pay up.
- Love like there is no tomorrow.
- Cook meals for women who just had a baby.
- Use cloth diapers. I had to throw that one in. :)
- Understand and live by this motto: That which does not kill you, makes you stronger.
- Have a little faith.
- Let karma do its job.
- Ask for sweet tea instead of beer if you are driving. This one is important. I had a great friend lost to a drunk driver.
- Give up and just like sports, especially if you are married. Trust me on this one.
- Hold and love on your babies. Even when people tell you that you are spoiling them.
- Watch silly reality shows.
- Make love to your spouse.
- Take long bubble baths.
- Dance in the rain.
- Call your Daddy.
- Give.
- Write your feelings down and look back on your life.
- Celebrate birthdays!
My new blog :)
I have a ton of friends that blog other places than MySpace and I thought, what the heck, I will join ya'll!
So, enjoy!
